ShowreelScripts

Like your CV and headshot, a showreel is absolutely essential.

But your showreel is only as

good as the scenes in it.

And every great scene

begins with a great script.

Welcome to

Showreel Scripts

“If the script’s good,

everything you need is in there.”

Olivia Coleman

Micro Films

Fresh. Exciting. Bespoke.

Think of Showreel Scripts like micro films.

They're never simply a character speaking lines to camera or an exchange of dialogue going nowhere.

Instead, Showreel Scripts give your character an arc,

which gives you a believable range to play,

and at all times, keeps your scene

exciting, original and engaging for the viewer.

Some showreel production companies will offer you scripts from their 'extensive library'.

Why shoot a script chosen at random, when you could have a custom-made scene written especially for you?

How It Works

1

We discuss:

  • the sort of character that best allows you to show off your acting skills

  • possible scenarios

  • other actors in the scene

  • locations

  • any other concerns

2

I write you a completely bespoke scene and deliver it within a week.

3

You feedback with your thoughts and any rewrites you want and I make the necessary changes until you're 100% happy.

I firmly believe you should only ever use scripts for your showreel that you're excited about and that help you to play to your strengths. That's why all Showreel Scripts are written specifically for you from scratch, based on your suggestions.

A Showreel Script gives you the confidence to give a unique acting performance.

“The script, I always believe,

is the foundation of everything.”

Ewan McGregor

How It Works

I can honestly say that when it comes to the script, it's everything. I've had the pleasure of working with Paul as an actor, writer, producer and soon as a director.

The reasons for this are simple.

He knows how to write, he understands structure, story, character and the essential elements and beats that create pace, conflict and progression throughout every scene. The bonus is, he can collaborate openly and passionately with an intelligence and humility which is very rare indeed.

Examples

Alan Vicary - Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, London Road, Kinky Boots

Kevin Stephen-Jones - Aladdin, Evita, Cats

Paul has written some great scripts for me.  He is helpful in changing and adapting

if they don't immediately suit.

I would recommend him.

Fred Johanson - Sunset Boulevard, Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Aladdin

About me...

Hi, I'm Paul. I'm a screenwriter.

Two of my screenplays have been produced as full length feature films and a number of others have been optioned and developed by production companies, both in the UK and in America. Most recently, my screenplay Kruger was picked up and is pencilled to go into production at the end of the year.

I believe the most exciting way to create compelling drama is to have an unpredictable story told by complex characters speaking believable dialogue.

This belief is the starting point for every Showreel Script I write.

Prices

Depending how much material you already have for your showreel, you may want more than one new scene. My prices reflect this.

The more Showreel Scripts you order, the cheaper they get.

1

£90

2

£85

each

3

£80

each

Most of the scenes I write are duologues so if you split the cost with a fellow actor (and don't mind sharing the limelight) a bespoke Showreel Script can be yours for only £45 each!
